Ben Crum is the director of design for McKissick Architecture and is involved in the majority of the firm's projects during the schematic and design phases. He has over a decade of experience designing schools ranging from renovations and additions to new construction. Ben is recognized as a security specialist holding a CPTED Professional Designation as well as being a member of the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) and ASIS International. Ben has served on the School Safety & Security Council and Physical Security Council which aim to promote best practices, standards, and emerging trends in security design. He has trained with multiple law enforcement agencies on active assailant response and is a CRASE & ALICE Certified Instructor for active shooter response.
